About Us

Both Penny and Doug McKesson, owners of Goodtime Touring Company, have developed a passion for Sonoma, its rich history, the great wines and local bounty that this unique area has to offer.

Established in 2001,  Goodtime Touring Company grew from the retail bike shop owned and operated by Doug & Penny from 1975-2000.  They began renting bikes to local hotels in the area, then offering guided tours......the rest is history!

Doug is a former Mayor of Sonoma, and due to his familiarity and popularity within the community has developed wide-ranging relationships with winemakers, cheese makers, and a broad cross-section of businesses and individuals.

Both Doug and Penny have strong ties to the community, and have each been tireless volunteers in many areas over the last 35 years in the town they call home.  They are the proud parents of two adult children and take great delight in their four grandchildren!

Goodtime Touring Company tours are designed to be as individual as you are, and to make you feel at home in this special place where you are fee to create memories and adventures of your own.
